Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

Healthy Network ("we", "our", or "us") provides macOS and iOS apps and this website. This policy explains what data is handled in each context.

Summary: App monitoring data stays on your device. This website uses Google Analytics. The macOS app uses privacy-scrubbed crash and error telemetry through Sentry; the iOS app does not include Sentry or an analytics SDK.

1. Scope

This policy covers:

  • The Healthy Network macOS application
  • The Healthy Network iOS application
  • The website at healthynetwork.app

2. Data Processed Locally in the App

Healthy Network stores network monitoring data locally on your device, including:

  • Latency, jitter, and packet loss measurements
  • Connection quality history and confidence metrics
  • Settings such as host, interval, and thresholds
  • Approximate locations you optionally add to eligible iPhone and iPad checks
  • Generated diagnostic reports you choose to save

This monitoring history is stored on your device and is not uploaded as part of normal app operation. On iPhone and iPad, bounded health-check history, optional approximate map locations, settings, and aggregate activation counters remain on device.

2.1 Optional Connection Map Location

If you grant When In Use location permission, eligible checks performed while the iPhone or iPad app is open may store an approximate location on your device. This information builds the private Connection map and is not transmitted to or collected by Healthy Network. You may keep map data for 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or one year, and clear map locations without deleting the rest of your check history. The app does not continuously track your location.

3. Crash and Error Telemetry (macOS App)

The macOS app uses Sentry for crash reporting and operational error telemetry. The iOS app does not include Sentry. We configure macOS telemetry with privacy-focused defaults:

  • No default personally identifiable information collection
  • Private IP address scrubbing before events are sent
  • Minimal technical context needed for debugging stability issues

Telemetry may include crash logs, app version, error category, app launch or hang performance diagnostics, connection-status transitions, latency values associated with a status transition, and non-sensitive diagnostics context. It is used only to maintain app reliability and is not used for advertising, marketing, or cross-app tracking.

4. Website Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, page performance, and outbound App Store clicks. App Store click events include the product platform, page placement, campaign label when present, and destination host. Website analytics are separate from app-local monitoring data and are not joined to an in-app identity.

5. Third-Party Services

The iPhone and iPad app is paid upfront and contains no subscription or in-app purchase.

Healthy Network interacts with third parties only as needed to provide service:

  • Target probe endpoints: The apps send short TCP connections to configured or independent public endpoints to estimate responsiveness. These endpoints receive ordinary connection metadata such as the device's public IP address.
  • Apple: Apple manages the separate paid-upfront purchases, regional storefront terms, billing, and refund processes for the Mac and iPhone/iPad App Store listings. iOS may also grant opportunistic background refresh; it is not continuous or guaranteed.
  • Sentry: Receives macOS crash and error telemetry as described above; it is not included in iOS.
  • Google Analytics: Used on this website.

6. Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell personal data. We do not use advertising trackers inside the app.

7. Data Retention and Control

  • App monitoring history remains on your device until you clear it, its retention policy removes it, or you remove the app.
  • On iPhone and iPad, map locations follow the 7-day, 30-day, 90-day, or one-year retention option you select and can be cleared separately.
  • Website analytics retention is managed through Google Analytics settings.
  • Telemetry retention is managed by Sentry service policies.

8. Security

The apps run in Apple application sandboxes and store operational data locally. We recommend keeping the operating system updated and using device encryption.

9. Regional Privacy Rights

If local law grants access, deletion, or objection rights, contact us and we will respond according to applicable requirements.

10. App Store Privacy Label

The macOS App Store privacy disclosure identifies Crash Data, Performance Data, and Other Diagnostic Data used for app functionality. Healthy Network does not link this telemetry to an account or use it for tracking. Website analytics are separate, do not come from the app, and are governed by this policy.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are reflected by updating the date above.
