Healthy Network ("us", "we", or "our") operates the Healthy Network application for macOS (the "App"). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App.
Summary: Healthy Network is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All network measurements are processed and stored locally on your device.
1. Data We Do Not Collect
Healthy Network is built on a "local-only" architecture. We do not collect:
- Personal Information: No names, email addresses, or account information
- Network Data: No IP addresses, network configurations, or measurement data
- Usage Analytics: No app usage patterns, feature usage, or session data
- Device Information: No device identifiers, hardware information, or system data
- Location Data: No GPS coordinates or location information
- Crash Reports: No automatic crash reporting (Apple's opt-in system may be used)
2. Data Stored Locally
Healthy Network stores the following data locally on your Mac:
2.1 Network Measurements
- Latency (ping) measurements to configured target hosts
- Packet loss percentages
- Jitter (latency variance) calculations
- Historical data for the configured retention period
2.2 User Preferences
- Ping interval settings
- Target host configuration
- Quality threshold preferences
- Display preferences (HUD visibility, etc.)
This data is stored in your Mac's Application Support folder and App Group container. It never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
3. Data Sharing
We do not share any data because we do not collect any data. Specifically:
- No data is transmitted to Healthy Network servers (we don't have any)
- No data is shared with third parties
- No data is sold to advertisers or data brokers
- No analytics SDKs are included in the App
4. Third-Party Services
Healthy Network communicates only with:
4.1 Target Ping Servers
The App sends ICMP or TCP packets to target servers (e.g., dns.google) to measure network latency. These servers may log connection attempts according to their own privacy policies. We do not control these servers or their logging practices.
4.2 Apple App Store
If you download Healthy Network from the Mac App Store, Apple may collect purchase and download information according to their Privacy Policy.
4.3 Apple Crash Reporting (Optional)
If you opt-in to share crash data with developers through macOS System Preferences, Apple may share anonymized crash reports with us. This is entirely optional and controlled by your macOS settings.
5. Your Data Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:
5.1 Access Your Data
View your network history and settings directly within the App.
5.2 Delete Your Data
Clear all historical data using the "Clear History" option in App preferences, or by deleting the App entirely.
5.3 Export Your Data
Export functionality may be available in future versions.
6. Location Data
Healthy Network may request access to Location Services if you enable the Wi-Fi network identification feature. This is used solely to:
- Display the name (SSID) of your current Wi-Fi network
- Differentiate network performance between locations
Location data is processed locally and never transmitted. You can deny this permission and still use all core features of the App.
7. Children's Privacy
Healthy Network is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we collect no data at all, this concern does not apply.
8. International Users
Healthy Network operates entirely locally on your device. There is no data transfer to any servers, domestic or international. Your data stays on your Mac, in your jurisdiction.
9. Security
Since data never leaves your device, security depends on your Mac's built-in protections:
- macOS App Sandbox isolation
- FileVault disk encryption (if enabled)
- Your device passcode or Touch ID
We recommend keeping your macOS updated and enabling FileVault for additional security.
10. GDPR Compliance
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA):
- Data Controller: Not applicable - we do not process personal data
- Legal Basis: Not applicable - no data collection occurs
- Data Subject Rights: All data is local, giving you full control
- Data Protection Officer: Not required - no personal data processing
11. CCPA Compliance
For California residents:
- We do not sell personal information
- We do not collect personal information
- No opt-out is necessary because no data is collected
12. App Store Privacy Label
Healthy Network displays Apple's "Data Not Collected" privacy label on the App Store, reflecting our commitment to user privacy.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
